Posted on 12/09/08, 01:31 pm
hey guys.. i was just diagnosed to PCOD and the doctor told me that i need to lose some weight to lessen the symptoms but im not sure how i can do that.. im up at college, and i think most people know that without spending all the money they have in their wallets its nearly impossible to eat healthy.
I signed up for weight watchers, but what other ways would ya'll suggest i lose weight?

Not necessarily true about not being able to eat healthy on a budget. You can eat small portions of healthy foods and often you can choose healthier versions of things for equivalent price, like whole wheat breads instead of white, brown rice instead of white, fruit instead of juices, etc..You can do this!! Eat at home instead of eating out and this will save a ton of money too. I too am in school and packing food and bringing your own drinks helps to save a ton of money over time. Of course local foods/ organic is better for your body but you do have to prioritize what is important to you. You might need to only get fruit/ veggies organic if it's too expensive...I understand stretching a budget!!

Welcome
