Swine Flu at home in Texas

My two sons (ages 9 and 2) had swine flu and it was a very very mild flu. Honestly I thought it was just a cold with a fever & only my eldest had the fever and it only lasted a few hours at the most. My youngest *did not* have a fever! They were on Tamiflu very early on, and also vitamins, very small doses of colloidal silver, elderberry, and echinacea. Both recovered fully in 5 days and they were running around feeling fine before then, but just to be on the safe side I will say 5 days. My youngest I was most worried about as he has other health issues and is on very high doses of anticonvulsants (and falls into a category of kids that some were having hard times overcoming it) well he had the easiest time actually. No one else in the family got sick (my daughter, husband and myself)
So really don't worry too much, and if you think you are having symptoms get it checked out ASAP, and even if it seems really mild you may be surprised at what the test results come back as. Really it was so not what I thought it would be like.
Oh and my kids were vaccinated for the regular flu in early Sept.
My kids ped did say it was going around a lot in Texas and the numbers are kind of skewed because some people do not get tested, but if they have had the flu shot and come back positive for influenza type A most likely they are saying here in South Texas it is the swine flu especially since this is not typically flu season.
Stay Healthy :-)
