Current Goals

Posted on 05/23/08, 11:32 pm
I have several goals right now:

To go to bed by 12:30 every night when at home

To take all meds every day

To live life one day at a time

I've decided that while I might start tracking going to bed, but not the med bit, because it doesn't seem to work, so I'm going to try to not think of my goals as something that I have to do every, single day for the rest of my life, but just as something that I have to do today. Hopefully this will help me not feel so overwhelmed!

That is a great idea. I really should get my body on schedule and go to sleep at a regular time every day but the problem is, I like to eat and sleep when I am honestly sleepy or hungry. But I'll see about that later.

I do too! What makes it hard is that I think I often become manic at night, so it's really hard for me to take my meds and frankly I'm not doing a great job, even though I need to do better. I might call my psychiatrist Monday. I'm doing much better with my meds at least, but I think that I'll have to put up a calendar and mark the days that I take all of them-not because I'm having so much trouble, but I do seem to have a lot of trouble remembering if I've taken my morning meds later that day. It's really frustrating to have such poor memory, so I think I need a visual to remind me of what I've done. Ugh! And I really have to get a handle on my stress level, because I have made myself sick! Ack!

I was inspired to create this group when I reached my first goal. This group will encourage you to create and reach at least one goal on your profile and to talk about the good fight of overcoming your issue and reaching your goal. We will encourage others with positive reinforcement and advice. All goals must be healthy and realistic. If you have already overcome a goal then talk about it as well. Be honest and considerate; remember, "All you need is love."
