New Group Member!

Hello everyone! My name is Linda and this looks like a group that I have needed for quite some time. I am so excited to find new friends with this mutual interest!
I just started running again recently. I used to run in high school, but that was 11 years and 60 pounds ago, so not exactly the same thing. I have run in a couple of 5ks these past couple of weeks and have 2 more scheduled coming up, but my legs are SPENT. I can barely walk, so I am clearly doing something wrong.
I am going to start training with by heart rate (MAF rate) when I can get move again and I am totally open to advice, suggestions, discussions and friendships.

Welcome! Maybe you are just pushing yourself too hard. I was never a runner before, so I had to start very slow. So how do you train by heart rate? -

i have also been trying to run more and was doing well tell i could no longer find a place to run and now i am starting over its hard to think i have to start over.
my advice take it slow and don't get over welmed:)
