Remember this is Only available in a small amount of states

We are currently offering service in parts of Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin

They are working on offering it in these states in the near future but are NOT yet available.
SafeLink Wireless Service is coming soon to...
    Arizona Puerto Rico
    Illinois Texas
    Kentucky Washington
    Missouri

If however you are disabled you can get a house phone from Verizon that only costs like 20.00 a month.
It is NOT full service though no voice mail or caller id or any of that stuff.

You contact them they give you a application you send copies of a doctor form I believe it was and they offer a low cost phone
It is called Lifeline and more info is here
