Hi Steve,
I find that alot too, at times; but I'm also guilty of it myself, when I'm not feeling so cool. i'm happy to be an online buddy, chances are tho i aint around much as I have an insanely busy life so my onlineness comes in bouts!

Hi everyone,
I'm not new to this group. I joined about six weeks ago but I'm struggling to make friends at the moment. So I just thought I'd introduce myself and say that I'm happy if anyone wants to add me, send a message or leave a comment.
I'm quite shy and fear rejection and have been a lot in my life which makes it harder for me to approach people. Even on this site recently I've tried to befriend some people or reply to journals or posts and not had any kind of acknowledgement. Do other people find that? It makes me feel worse about myself.
I'm also shy about posting which explains why I've not really posted before. But I have a good understanding about SA as I've suffered most of my life and would like to talk to others and help if I can.
Hope to hear from anyone,
Steve

Hi Steve!
I'm also super shy. I've tried to be "out of my shell" online, especially on this forum but I'm still afraid of being rejected too. I've randomly added people out of desperation sometimes, but people seem to be very friendly here and they usually add me. :) But then when I look at other people's profiles with their many hugs, etcs, I get really discouraged and I feel like there's something wrong with me because it seems like no one wants to befriend me. Ack, I hope that wasn't too much!

Hello everyone, I'am new to this group, just dignosed with social anxiety, I'v know for a long time, but did NOT want any one to know...I'am ashamed of it ,So very ashamed that ,I just add it to my list of illness on my profile today and I'am afraid of the rejection,(i know I will lose friends), most don't talk or comment on my journal anyway.. Can't say I'am shy, I think I'am very out spoken at times... ANd ""YES"" I have posted on other boards(about other issues) only to be ignored.. I was on the lupus board for a year or more and was ignored and treated like I was invisible..It seem to me when you say you have depression or ,anxiety people run the other way !

Feel welcome to add me to your list too! I've had social anxiety my whole life. The internet is the one place I can talk to people. Like the lady above,I don't feel I'm being judged on these sites. It's nice to share your thoughts with people who have similar problems.
Welcome
