Well, as one woman to another, I honestly can say that there would be no "freak" on my radar. But I suspect mine's not really the feedback that you need.
Stay strong. You're battling something major, and it's inspiring to me.

How important is hair?
Posted on 10/18/09, 01:47 pm
So I have Breast Cancer and am going through Chemo, one of the "wonderful" side effects of pumping poison through my body is that I have lost all of my hair. I first just hacked it short myself then had my hair stylist buzz it, well it was bothering me so this morning I got out the razor and shaved it down to nothing.
So my question to all you single people out there is how important is someones hair and breasts or should I say lack of them? I had a bilateral mastectomy so also have no breasts and due to all the treatments I still need will not be able to do reconstruction for over a year.
So if I went to say a club without a wig, or my prosthetics would you even consider me a option or would I just stick out like a freak?
I am tired of trying to make everyone feel comfortable and make myself look as "normal" as possible and just want to say THIS ME!!!
I would really appreciate your honest opinions so please don't sugar coat it to make me feel better about myself.
Thanks
