Ready to Lose Weight

Posted on 05/18/09, 12:42 am
Okie dokie, so now that I'm not sick every month, and have already lost 30 lbs after them taking my galbladder out. I am ready to get serious about losing weight.

So, if anyone has any beginner tips that you think would be helpful, please feel free to tell me.

I am 21 5'5'' and weigh 210 now.

I know it can be a pain, but keeping a food journal really helps. I use fitday.com. I lost 90 lbs. over 18 months and I still use it most everyday just to keep myself on track. Portion control, exercise (all I did was walking), and drinking enough water all help. Just start out taking baby steps for changes and things will become a habit. Best of luck on your journey. You are smart to do it now rather than at my age.
