Posted on 11/21/08, 12:57 pm
Yeah I am down to 10mg of prednisone the wonder drug! I feel horrible this weening (withdrawl) is so hard. I want to exercise and take off this weight but walking up 10 stairs has me hurting and fatigued.
My skin is a mess my allergies and exsema are returning since the steroids are less. So far my asthma is okay. I am sorry I am complaining.
I just want to feel good for one day!
Luv to all hope you are doing well

Well my doctor had switched me to medrol because she didn't feel I was absorbing the prednisone enough. Sooo though it looks lower, it's stronger!
Anyway's since XMas, I'm down a size & a half. Still the same weight, but skin is starting to hang now. Except for my pesky face!!! -

Hey kmarie, (I'm a newbie)
How did your withdrawl issues pan out? I've been on 40mg of the stuff for over a year with several non-successful attempts to come off. I've been off for 3 days now but everything is coming back and strong too.
Hanging in there though! -

I was put on 40 mgs/day of Prednisone mid July this year ... supposed to be taken off after 3 month term, then go on something called QueVar, which I think is another form of Prednisone. Scary what I'm seeing about withdrawl. I had Psoriasis before going on the Pred ... hope it doesn't come back really bad. So happy to find this group to talk with. Wishing the best for all with these unfortunate illnesses. -

Hi, I'm new to site, needed to here I was not alone out there. Suffering from Autoimmune Hepititis started on 40mg predisolone down to 10mg. It's been really tough. How do you all get through the dark moods? The bloating, moon face, tiredness, lack of sleep and all the other side effects bad enough but constantly feeling guilty about the mood swings can't snap out of them. Totally understand the feeling of moaning, people ask how you are, do they really want to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
