You may be eatting to fast. Buy yourself some baby utensils and use those to eat your meals. The baby utensils will force you to slow down your intake and for me it did away from the sickness I still get when I eat to fast. I still use my baby utensils and I am two years out. Some habits are just hard to break. I always ate fast and so for me these utensils were an answer to prayer.
Also depression after surgery is really quite common. I hope you are seeing a therapist because you will be experiencing a lot of lifestyle changes and it helps enormously to have someone to share these changes with.
As for your vitamins and protein, I would certainly ask your surgeon what they recommend or even your nutritionist. They were very helpful for me when I was at that point. Each of us have different things that our bodies have a hard time tolerating after this surgery. Your surgeon and nutritionist should be your best friend during this period and they should have a lot of suggestions on what you can use. They have been doing this for a period of time and should be able to help.
Don;'t know if I helped or not but I hope you feel better real soon and find that happiness you are looking for. I know at two years out I couldn't be happier!!!
Lot of hugs

I had my surgery 8 weeks ago and I have had a few infections and I have a hard time keeping anything down. This has caused me to become depressed. I don't want to be. I should be happy because I have lost 52 pounds so far but I feel like I am always sick. Does it get better? My engery level sucks and I know I need vitamins and protein but I throw them both up. Any suggestions on affordable vitamin drops or something that might work. I want to be happY!!!!

Yes, it does get better. I'm almost 4 months out and am just now starting to feel like I'm settling into a routine. I don't feel like I have to think so hard anymore. I've lost 68 lbs since surgery. I've had a few plateaus, but I'm still losing. It will get better. Hang in there. And, no one ever chooses to be depressed. If it's really bad, see a doc and get some meds. The short days don't help at this time of year either. Try to celebrate every little milestone. Focus on how healthy you are getting. Stay off of the scale, it will make you crazy!
