You did it, girlfriend! I just hope the walk to work isn't too far. I went to a wedding reception on Sat. Finally had a chance to meet some neighbors who only live 3 houses away. They have lived in the neighborhood 3-4 yrs! Ooops, I guess it was time to meet them.
Anyway, I stood talking to them for 45 min or so. I was about to fall over! I finally had to sit down. Unfortunately it did me in. We ended up leaving not too long after that. And of course not till I had another piece of cake! LOL So I am in awe of you for pushing yourself to walk to & from work.
I hope you were able to get a good night's sleep & today will be better for you. BTW it was a positive story. Thanks for sharing!
HUGS,
...Royce

Today's positive perspective on negatives

I've introduced myself before so I'll run you all the short-version (not exactly 20 words but ho counts...)
I'm 28. I work parttime at a funeral agency, parttime at a nursing home with EMS services as main-seat.
I just had a 10-day vacation, got back and worked 12 out of 14 days. Now today I'm fighting a bullet-proof common cold (tell me H1N1 and I'll cringe, scream and get angry). I walked to work today just to wake up properly and get myself settled for a 7.5 hour long duty in uniform. When I got to work, the sweat was just pouring upwards - but mission accomplished: I woke up and was ready to work effective (or pretend it was effective at least).
I had only one call for the EMS, so it was all in all a good day. Since I walked to work, it meant I had to walk home too. I'd gotten halfways when my sciatic nerve started making a circus. By the time I walked up the driveway at home, my steps were half a foot before the other. Ate dinner and decided to take a couple of regular painkillers, then I threw myself down on the sofa with a wheat-pad on my back, a wool blanket over that and of course to top the whole misery, the cat jumped up and found that the heat of the wheat was nice and dandy.
Not to sound negative but ..... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaouuuw! I don't like this day.
Then I made me a very strong cup of coffee wishing it was a slight touch of tullamore dew in it.... Whiskey isn't an option but one can dream eh?
Love,
Hill
