Group Introductions "Hello my DS name is...."

With nearly 600 members now I know there are many of us who do not know each other yet. So I would like to ask each of you to please inroduce yourself, and take the time to brag about your accomplishments and things you are most proud of.

Since our group has been founded we have made many leaps and bounds in regards to healing, and growing as a group. We have discussion boards, chatrooms, weekly discussions, the "inner child" castle, resource library, and are going to be reintroducing through the partnership of Northeastern Group Consulting webinars about domestic violence. We will also be inviting more authors to come and discuss their books such as those we have been reading in the reading group.

Please help me welcome our new members as well as our current ones to the group. Each of you are the true source of what makes this group a supportive environment in which we can share our experiences.

So here is the idea to this game:

First introduce yourself and your accomplishments. Yes its OK to brag!

If someone on DS has helped you through rough times please post a SHOUT OUT (acknowledgement) below your list of accomplishments!

Hi...I'm Sabrina, mother of two, first time grandmother, early childhood teacher, caregiver of my mom, and survivor of domestic violence. In my sparetime, I write poetry and short stories. I'm thankful for DS and all the support groups! I've made many friends in the short period of time since my membership, and there are too many to name, but my life has been deeply enriched since joining this site.

Hi...I am Minna F...cause she was strong and my childhood savior. I am most proud of the happy, healthy children i am raising, despite any model for how to do that. I am also proud of my honest, gentle, trusting relationship with my husband. I have recently learned that even when you think it's behind you...it's not. I'm figuring out how to deal with that now.

I think this group may help.
