  I  Just wanted to write a short hello and tell you all a little about me. I am a 37 yr old mother of 4 whose oldest son has AS, ADHD, ODD. I came to DS about a yr ago looking for someone, anyone who could relate to what I was going through with my son. I felt so alone in my struggle with doctors, school systems, friends, grandparents. I needed someone who had a child like mine that  I could relate to and could relate to me. I have met some amazing people on this site and have found that I am not alone but among many who share my joys, heartaches, triumphs, and backslides. Recently some of my friends on here have stopped going to some of the communitues or dropped out all together due to people being negative, judgemental and just plain nasty. Some of the communities have become more adult issues rather than child related. That is why I created this group, it is for children, our children, our most valued and cherished possession. I want people who join this group to feel free to ask, discuss, talk about, and support each other in all issues with their children without the fear of ridicule, judgement or negativity. Honestly I think there is more than enough of that kind of crap in the world and lets be honest, when dealing with children with problems , we need all the love and support we can get. Not negativity.  I look forward to meeting and talking to new people and sharing new ideas, stories, support, positive energy. And to all my friends I have already made on DS, I look forward to seeing you here as well and continuing our friendships.
