ADHD can manifest as a behavior problem. If he really is causing trouble in the classroom, I would be talking to my ped, and getting help from a therapist and possibly a psychiatrist. I don't know how you feel about drugs, but here's my take: My son has ADHD and ODD. He was kicked out of two preschools by the age of 4. With therapy and medication and lots of book reading, my son is functioning fairly well. He's having a positive school experience. I didn't want him to feel like a failure and 'bad' kid, so I did medicate him. I felt that sucess with meds is better than a lifetime of feeling like a failure without them. I wish he didn't have to have them and I hope that someday he won't, but life has gotten so much better. I still need to be consistant, and vigilant about his behavior, I still need to check in on him every day for his school behavior and constantly remind him of what we expect, but my son likes school. He likes learning. He loves his teacher. Would he if i hadn't worked with him and doctors? I don't know. I tend to think not.
I'm sorry your struggling. We all know how you feel. That treading water/almost drowning feeling is ever present. When my son spits on the teacher and barricades himself in the bathroom, i just feel a pit in my stomach that it's all gonna start again.

I am so lost. Don't know what to do for him or how to help him. I don't think the teachers at school are giving hima ny help. They say it is a behavior problem. Any suggestions, I am all ears.
