As many of you know, my son's DOC was, or is, Oxycontin, which eventually progressed to Heroin, due mainly to the lower cost. I am really wanting a ban on this dangerous drug. The company Pharm Purdue lied about it, was found guilty, yet it still making millions of dollars off of it. The drug is not only abused by people like my son, but also by people who get it from their M.D.'s. They often times are the ones selling it to people such as my son. It shouldn't be so easy. I could go on and on, but I will stop for now. I'm getting too frustrated.

My son has not yet discovered this drug, but I do know teens in my neighborhood who have and it has dragged them into the gutter.

Hi everyone I'm right with you as far as getting these drugs off the streets.I think they should only be given to patients that are being treated in a hospital. The pain clinics in florida are given them out like candy. They don't except insurance only cash or credit card. It's out of control.I have a 19 year old that is hooked on oxy's and is now in rehab. It's very hard to come off this drug. These dealers get these young kids to get hooked knowing it will only progress to higher addiction.
I'm very sorry Mini67 about your loss. It's more of a reason to fight for what you believe.

what do we do ????Who can we write to ???There has to be something we can do to stop this drug war. It's only going to get worse if we don't do something now.
My therapist is against this as well seeing she lost her brother to oxy's as well.If I get any info from her I will forward it to you.
