OT which email program do you use?

I got a cool new laptop yesterday. It came with windows 7 which does not include an email program. I want to be able to check my private email not a web based email like my hotmail or gmail accounts. I was thinking of using Thunderbird but don't know. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I use comcast, hotmail and yahoo and gmail. Oh well...I have different ones for me. Comcast is my main one.
