ocd forever over this one person....

Posted on 06/30/08, 12:55 am
okay, i am new here... have depression and ocd and probably a few more issues... i am not on any meds for these things... i quit the antidepressants about five years ago... i do okay, most of the time.. but, i have a lifelong friend who happens to be my dearest girlfriend from my early teens... we have been in touch for over forty years... off and on... i am single, she is married, though she says her marriage has been dead for thirty years... my problem is that my life is empty, it seems... she is really my best friend... i think of her all the time... many, many times a day... we go from being in touch each day with many emails, etc... then i try to break it off... and i think about what she is doing, where she is... etc... i don't know what i can do to get this person out of my thoughts... at least minimize them... i am looking for any suggestion and comments... this woman and i fit together like soulmates... any ideas? thanks! z<><

Hi. It's nice that you have joined the group. I have bipolar, panic disorder and ocd. I have a question about you post. Have you told your friend how you feel? If not I think that should be your next step. See were she stands.

This is for people who have more than just OCD. Like Bipolar, panic disorder and many more. And I would like to also invite all you with ocd that have the horrible ocd thoughts. I know that it can be hard to deal with them alone. Here you have people that can help.
