Obama Has Successful Town Hall Meetings!

President Obama held a civil and by all reports successful Town Hall meeting in Montana today, even answering questions from a "proud NRA member", and remarking on the chaotic and interrupted ones where the mobs came in and shouted down the presenters. He also had a good one in NH earlier in the week, although that surprised me to read it because I thought that was the one where the guy had a gun strapped to his ankle (see thread on Matthews: "Why Did You Bring A Goddamned Gun" on this group - or was it PC?).

Good to know there are some productive Town Hall meetings going on this month.

  The gun toter, William Kostric, was not allowed into the building where Obama spoke. Thank God for that!!

  I don't think he was Shevan - it is legal to carry weapons
  in that state. However there were two other men who had
  concealed weapons - including a gun and one of them
  was arrested.

  Yeah, I read that afterward. Wow - I didn't know about the two other men. I wonder how the SS saw the guns if they were concealed.

  Can you imagine if during the Bush era there were folks who carried guns into a town hall meeting. These guys would be in Gitmo and we would never hear from them again and yet we allow these idiots to carry a gun near our current President. Un friggin believable.

  There were 12 people with guns at his most recent town hall meeting -
  this country is much more racist that I ever thought it was.
  No one would feel the freedom or need to come to rallies with guns otherwise, IMO.

  The number of militia groups in the U.S. has increased dramatically since the election, also. This is very bad.

We've won the first round by ending the Republican stranglehold on America. Now, armed with fresh ideas and hope, we can restore America to her former greatness. Please use this forum to share ideas about what American should be, can be, will be.
