Updates - How is everyone doing?

Posted on 08/06/09, 12:44 pm
Just wondered how everyone is doing? I just went for my 24 week checkup and everything looks good. Looks like I am going to have a big baby girl. Interested in seeing how everyone else is doing!

Well, I'm relatively well. I am very uncomfortable in my back and hips and having an extremely hard time sleeping...major insomnia. I guess in a way it's trying to prepare me for my triplets arrival. Since my incompetent cervix and cerclage at 20.5 weeks, i went home for 7 wks. on bedrest doing great. Then, this monday i go to my Dr. appt. and my blood pressure is up...so I got admitted again to rule out preeclampsia. All workup was neg. at this point, but have to have perinatal testing, 24 hr. urines, and fetal monitoring twice weekly now. As of right now, my diagnosis is gestational hypertension but the Dr.s feel within 1-2 weeks I'll be preeclamptic and they'll have to take the babies. I'm almost 28 weeks but they gave steroids for the babies lung maturity just in case it becomes emergent to take them. Other than all that, my blood pressure has been normal to mildly high X's 2 days so I'm going home back to bedrest today. I hope I'm still home for my 2 showers-next weekend and the weekend after. Sorry so lengthy. Hope everyone is doing well and is prepared for their bundles of joy :)

Glad to hear everyone is doing fine and hope you hang in there for a little while longer asanderserrn. I am starting to get uncomfortable now and I only have one in there.. can't imagine it with triplets. I always have problems sleeping when I am pregnant as well. Can't wait to see all these babies in the next 2-3 mths.

Nice to have updates! I am doing well for the most part. Yes, more uncomfortable and the swelling feet and legs aren't fun. Not sleeping great but not bad either. I still have heartburn constantly but getting used to that, at least I can eat thanks to Zantac! I have to take 2 a day or I'm miserable. Little Lucas moves a lot and I find it very entertaining to watch him moving around in there. I put things on my belly just to watch him move them. Of course he hardly moves when dh is watching or touches my belly. That is frustrating!

My placenta moved away from my cervix so now I don't have to have a c-section! yay! My cervix is still only 2 cm but since I am now 29 weeks the doc is only going to check for cervical length one more time and after that, she will only check for dialation. It is getting so close for all of us girls!!

As of today I have 11 more weeks to my due date. Doc says I probably won't go that far due to my cervix being short so I could have this baby within the next 7-8 weeks possibly. WOW!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well!!

Well, if anyone has read my journal lately you know things arent that great....for me. But my baby boy is doing great and I can NOT wait for this pregnancy to be over with him in my arms!!!!! As of today I am 29w3d...so almost to 30!! WooHoo!!! And if I end up having to have a section(which is a big possibility) I will most likely go in about 8 weeks too...so I cant wait for that!!

Glad to know that everyone is doing well so far!! We are coming into the season that all of our babies will be born...so exciting!!!!!!!

I am glad to hear everyone is doing well. I am 30 wks 1 day today and aside form taking a fall down the stairs two days ago and having to be monitored for a while to be sure the baby was okay (he was excellent), things are going well. After trying for so long, I can't believe we are all getting so close!
