YES! I can just be standing there and can just nearly trip over my feet or had I not had anything to hold onto, I would have walked like a drunk person. to gain my balance again. I do drop things all the time. Sometimes I get up and if it wasn't for the wall, I don't know what would have happened... I have not completely fell yet.
I was just at my last follow up appointment and when he did the pin test, I DIDN'T feel it! That is concerning - I did it to myself since and sure enough... I don't feel it on the top of my feet, but still it hurts and is the bottoms are so hyper sensitive I can't stand it. Do you have the same thing? Not feeling part of your extremities?

I know we often discuss painful symptoms.
I fall a lot. I know when I'm falling. I can't seem to recover and stop the fall without putting my hands on something.
I am experiencing a greatly increased promblem with this falling business.
I plan to ask for PT to see if it will help me as it did in the past.
Does anyone here experience a lot of troubles with falling, knocking things over and dropping things?

I have fallen a couple of times. Last Autumn I fell and broke my foot and cracked my ankle bone. It seems to me I tend to tip forward and standing on grass or a chair etc. makes me very nrevous. I have one pair of gym shoes I can wear and walk a couple of hours but anything else causes me to get muscle spasms in my feet and calfs.
I am waiting to hear what your doctor says. I sometimes think my doctor thinks I imagine this stuff. -

I also experience the numbness in my feet and the tenderness on thebottom.I have foundthat it helps me to change shoes several times a day.I have not found anything to help stop the cramps in the calves of my legs.I am also experiencing tingle in both hands but no numbness. Also I am
having back pain quite often. My neurologistshas me on Fentanyl patches and neurotin tablets. This help me to tolerate the severe pain. Also this summer was very hot and it really help me to work around the house inside and outside. Did the hot weather help other Neuropathy patients? -

I am constantly dropping things and continually falling. I fall at least 4-5 times a week or more. I can be standing or walking and down I go. I have another appt with my neuro doc as I took a header the other day and got hurt. I hit my head and banged up my knee. I just fell over I got road rash on my head and my rt knee. It's a good thing that I have no feeling from the neck down or I would probably have a hard time walking. It's hard enough with the swollen feet and ankles. Tom -

I lose my balance alot. I haven't fallen yet, but sometimes seem to trip over nothing on the floor. Sometimes at work, I get off balance and I think my customers wonder if I have been drinking! I have also had uncontrollable twitching in my hands and wrists. I dropped a plate full of omlet, homefires and toast on the floor at work one day when my hand just twitched and released the plate. That scared me. It has happened several times since, but I have been able to "catch myself" with my other hand when it happened.
I take Neurontin, and it helps alot with the nerve pain, but I also have horrible low back pain that radiates to my hips. My lower back is so tender to the touch. It feels like someone is stabbing me when my SO gives me a back rub. The neurontin doesn't seem to help the aching that comes with the back pain, nothing helps! -

I have the same problem. I have fibromyalgia, and am dizzy a lot, but the falling happens when I am just standing and for no reason. usually am able to stop the fall or something else stops my fall ( a wall). -

I have bi-lateral Meniere's disease and serious cerebellar brain damage. Consequently, I feel as though I'm about to fall every waking moment, and I do fall, frequently. However, it isn't really a fall, the way a child or a professional football player would fall; rather, my brain seems to give up on controling my voluntary muscles, and I collapse. When it happens in public, or when by-standers notice that I have wet or soiled myself, which commonly accompanies a collapse, embarrassment further complicates my situation.
