The future of NCR treatment?

Posted on 07/27/09, 10:03 am
I wonder about the future of NCR, its either before its time, or
a dying treatment. There are so few doctors performing this treatment,
and most people have never heard of it. Where are the new doctors getting
trained in the proceedure, and who is training them? Many of the doctors who do this are getting older, and seems like there are less of them on the NCR site. Its really too bad this treatment isn't more widely available.
Unless a person is physically and finacially able to travel cross country, its pretty much out of reach to many people who could benifit from it.

It's pretty hard to sell a new idea. Look at what happened when they found out the world was round., lol. few believed it. I've had this forum for 2 years or so and I believe 3 or 4 people may have really taken the info and acted upon it. That's ok. It's just the way it is.

Any I know Dr Howell is travelling and training them. I don't know if anyone else does the training, but I'd sure like to see them expand it, do a little p.r. work and get it known. So many people, especially vets from Iraq and Afghanistan, could benefit.

    hmyers512,

There had been two people from MI. who have contacted me wanting this done, but the dr. I talked to said he'd want 20 people. I think to start with he'd come for less and then let word of mouth take over ya know, but he said 20.
I and another person are working hard to get the word out, I put info about the treatment on all the websites I go to.

Thank you for starting this forum, as I am hopeful it will slowly grow over time. I know it has been like a Godsend to me finding this forum,
and yes so many vets could benifit as well.

YOu are helping me to spread the word just by posting here as you endure the struggle. People don't seem to realize how chronic pain can be a constant 'chronic' struggle as well. I appreaciate you being here.

Technical question: Thanks hmyers512, I have read your story, and I found it interesting how you had the pressure on your right back head and they said it was your neck. It is the same with me, my cranial osteopath kept telling me its my neck and not the head. Also it seems that my R. temporal bone (cheekbone) and ear sit further back on that side. So its like my head is twisted to the right, and occiptial to the left, so I wonder if putting the balloon up my R. nose is the right nose, would that push my sphnoid back farther on that side. I guess being a nurse I like to know how things work like that.

anyway I am going to help as much as I can because my one treatment did more for me than anything, but I need another to keep it up, as I feel at first one should have a treatment at least every 6 weeks to a month ya know.

Welcome
