Skeptical about NCR?

When I found NCR, i had healthy skepticism, yet it also was the single, only thing I'd ever heard of that just had that tinge, that potential, that it would work in my case. Nothing, even though I had begged for surgery years earlier, I never felt it would but, it was just better than doing nothing. Fortunately, i had no surgery.

I looked for negative info on NeuroCranial Restructuring, trying to do due diligence on the procedure. I found the same scary articles that others may have found, but when i applied logic to it, they didn't carry much weight. Here's what I mean.

There is a negative story on QuackWatch, a site that disses things as unproven. I'm sure they uncover some really bad things, but the article on NCR is just opinion and isn't even on their index of pages any more. You can find it here at http://www.chirobase.org/06DD/ncr.... . I don't' think this article is worth the cost of the packets it travels through.

The two negative stories he cites are a 1983 case involving a procedure that preceded NCR and another old case of a woman who was injured. If you search further, you'll find that case referred to by, you guessed it, spine surgery sites who of course lose money if people correct their problem in a simple, inexpensive way. My thinking about that case is that, sure a side effect like that could have happened, but if it were common ... you'd find more cases. Virtually all the negative publicity points to that one case. Several sites point to it but it's still one case. How many negative outcomes are there from spine surgery? Dwarfs it by comparison.

My only other negative outcome I have heard of was a fellow on here that told me it scared him, but he had experienced a near drowning when young, and he said ncr brought that back. Now, for most of us that just wouldn't happen.

For myself, when i added up the pros and cons, it was like 90 to 10 pro. I talked to the doctor, and that was a real convincer. I'm so glad i believe in this. I found out when my first series was easy to take and oh so amazingly effective and lasting. It still makes me say 'wow'.

I have also looked up and researched anything I could find negative from NCR of BNS and only found stuff from chiro base. also I put on craigs list looking for people who may be interested in this treatment that I wanted to find a DR. to come here to do it , and someone on there put a message that NCR was just another pseudo treatment and referred people to chiro base website. It is unfortunate that so many people would be more willing to have spine surgery before even trying this proceedure, and its also unfortunate that more doctors are not learning this and spreading the word. Quite a few chiro's are learing biocranial and sot chiropractor, of which I tried a sot chiro and she use a electric activator full force on my head, that I sure made my problem even worst.

So I am also of your opinion, that it is safer than most other treatments, and although nervous about my first treatment, I am looking forward to my next one.
