  OMG...... Thanks for posting this link ! My daughters best friend just died from the swine flu....I'am so very upset and afraid !!

  I'm soooo sorry. Did she have other health issues that compromised her immune system??
  
  From what I've read, it appears to me that the swine flu isn't that bad for someone in decent health already.....

  Seagully; No, He was a healthy young 14 year old, with no health problems. It is so sad and scarey. To my understanding it seems like it is affecting/killing more healthy people, than some one with underlying health problems, That's just my thoughts...

  So sorry that happened to your friend. Bless his little heart. I talked to a pharmacist the other day after getting my regular flu shot,. I asked him if he thought it was safe since it was made so fast, He said yes its safe he is just concerned he thinks the SWINE FLU SHOT WILL NOT WORK.
  Scary thought, but keep washing those hands and stay away from people coughing and esp those that dont cover their mouths.,

  DDntn, Thanks for your sympathy...It was my daughters good friend that passed away...It is sad and YES scary, I agree The shot for swine flu will NOT work ! I think the best thing we can do is wash our hands, cover your mouths when we need to cough and yes use tissues or your sleeve if you need to sneeze.. And STAY HOME when you are sick... !!!! My neighbor's have the swine flu too and she is letting her children run all over the neighboorhood and getting up in everyone's face , it is down right RUDE , she has NO reguard for other's. I'am so scared, I have lupus..etc.. and I catch everything.ALSO , I was reading someplace? that VITAMIN D is good for the swine flu or helps prevent it ? Has any one heard about this ??? Let me know, I would appreciate it ! Also I was reading some research that said "copper' helps to fight off the swine flu ! I'am wearing my copper braclet, I'am NOT taking any chances ! Yes it is alway something !!! Hugs : )

  That is so sad, I feel so sorry for the girls family, your daughter and all who loved her. Thank you so much for posting the link so others can know the dangers. I know it is scary for you. I am glad you are being extry careful and protect yourself as much as you can. God Bless

  Do you know the specifics on this boy? I knew a person who died from a sinus infection. It went into his brain and he was dead. Before that he was very healthy. So my thoughts are, is it possible this boy's death could be a fluke occurrence? What was the diagnosis besides swine flu? Pneumonia? High fever? Dehydration?

  My hubby was at the ER yesterday and one of the other EMTs was talking to a doctor about swine flu. The doctor said that it's being overblown by the media hype and it's not all that bad. I believe it. Earlier this year there was an article saying how 10% of NYC population had it this spring when about a 100 people died. Given that NYC is home to 8,000,000 people, it's pretty amazing if only 100 people die when 800,000 are sick!! I think that's about .000125% which would be rounded to 0%.

  I just saw on the news some young mother died while on vacation in Florida from the swine flue. My question, why was she on vacation if she was sick to start with. Spreading the flu to others if that is what she really had?? I am not trying to be heartless about this young mother but strange they said she died on vacation and kept going and doing things.
  Just remember when you go out in public, take those lysol wipes stores provide or bring your own and wipe off those cart handles. Wash your hands, and if you feel a cold coming on take zinc tablets.
  
  Get your regular flu shot, we know they work.
