found my old pain log....

Posted on 09/19/09, 12:18 pm
Having for the most part beaten chronic pain, I was amazed to read my own words written during the 12 years of chronic pain. It's sometimes hard to remember just how bad it was. I posted exerpts from my 'old pain log' to my journal to share. I invite you to read and share your thoughts.

I found a miraculous, effecitve , long-lasting (3 years now) cure for my particular brand of chronic pain in NeuroCranial Restructuring. 3 days of that wonderful treatment ended chronic pain that lasted exactly 12 years and 6 weeks.

    What is NeuroCranial restructuring?

NeuroCranial Restructuring or NCR is a procedure that was created by Dr Dean Howell (drdeanhowell.com) taking a procedure that was developed in the 30's to a new level. Quite simply, it's an adjustment that affects the skull and it's shape that allows the head and spine to move slightly in a way that restores symmetry and reduces the affect of cumulative or sudden damage. It's hard to explain, but for me, like most people who've written about undergoing the procedure, the benefits are obvious from the first treatment.

I used to say if 'they could remove my head and put it on straight, i'd be fine." and actually that's very nearly what this felt like. The restorative power of it just needs to be known for if you really, really look at it, reject initial skepticism and look deeply at it, read some of the testimonials which i believe to be very honest (mine is one of them) - it makes sense.

Personally, I experienced the following. My first series was 3 years ago. I had been suffering from locked in constant pain for 12 years. The NCR treatments are applied in a series of 4 days, 1/2 hour per day, generally.

The first day, unexpectedly my blurry vision cleared and sharpened after my first 1/2 hour treatment session. I'd had a little nagging pain in my lower back. I could feel it when i stood or walked but never mentioned it for it wasn't severe, just unfomfortable. After that first treatment, it was gone and has remained gone.
The 3rd day, the intense pain that required 180/mg a day of morphine to offset was simply gone. Well, a little remained but i would rate it at 95% improved. It was awesome. That too has remained for all of these past 3 years. I have never taken another dose of opioid medication. My last dose was 10/1/2006 and i had taken meds for 9 years up to that point.
I went home and since i'd been in intense pain for 12 years, i had a long recovery in front of me. I'm still recovering.

Over time, i came to realize i was having a lot of trouble concentrating and thinking.

I had another NCR procedure 9 months later, and another a year after that. Each of those 4 day series brought reductions in the little bit of pain that was left, but further they caused such incredible cognitive improvements - my understanding is that, since my injury was from a bad fall that impacted my head twice .. improving the shape of my skull also reduced pressure from the damage on my very brain allowing me to think clearer. This is hard to prove, but to me ... the difference was stark and undeniable and the changes have simply lasted.

The procedure itself involves inflating a small balloon into one of the the six sinus cavities where it actually impacts a bone known as the sphenoid bone which turns out to be 'Mother Natures Release Lever' and this literally does allow the spine and skull to relax, and resets them to a more natural configuration.

As you can see, it's hard to explain. Look for Neurocranial Restructuring on you tube or check out my member group at http://www.dailystrength.org/group...
