Any ideas for a tmj/ muyofascial/ tension headache? I feel like I am being pounded in the head over and over and over with a big hammer.

I was told that the chronic myofacial tension has caused the tmj. She told me that one of those mouth guards would help at night. I have yet to find a good one, the last one I tried just kept my mouth open too wide which hurt too. There is a new one that just slides between your back teeth instead of covering all of your upper teeth. I second the hot pack/heating pad. I spend every evening going to sleep on my heating pad...it has temp control and timer, and it is a life saver. I think I would never fall asleep without it. I am sure you are on other pain meds, but sometimes when it is really bad, about 3 advil on top of it all can really make a change in my pain. Hope some of this helps. AB
