“OH WELL Parts 1&2” –Fleetwood Mac

I guess the song that got me going all those years ago was “Oh Well” by Fleetwood Mac – the original Mac with Peter Green – not the “showband” that it became in later years. It was 1969, I was 16 and heard this being played in a record shop. Blown away completely – spent 2 weeks pocket money there and then on a shiny vinyl 45 – had to walk to school for two weeks – no bus fare!

Still sounds as good to me 39 years later as it did then. Remember my mother saying just after I bought it – “It’s got a good beat, but will you really be listening to rubbish like that when you are 40?”. Silly woman!

If I ever get the proverbial 3 wishes at least one of them would be to play my guitar half as well as Peter Green – probably use another wish to get the other half.

Watch Peter playing "Oh Well – Part 1" and see what you think.

Oh my! I remember getting some 45's of The Banana Splits from an ad on the back of a Kellogg's box. It must have been around 1968/69. I was about 6 years old. I was so nice that I gave them to my friend, but regretted it later. I wish I still had them.

I used to listen to country music all the time. Then my friends got me into rock n' roll. First cd I can remember buying...Hmmm, I think it was either Metallica's Black Album or Ozzy Osbourne's Bark At The Moon.

It was "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor. Seems silly now.
