Soul music is my thing. You might have guessed that with my avatar?
Anyway, I feel i have an above average understanding of Soul music....a statement that could come to haunt me hah hah :-)
Would be good out of curiousity to see what peoples top 20 records are. These are mine. i could honestly make out 100 top hip shaking, foot stomping movers. However thought best to keep it simple. oh, this selection could esaily change in a weeks time.
I go to dancing (Ceroc) and I do get a chance to really feel how much soul a song has in relation to its dancability.

hows it going or "Fit like" as we say in Aberdeen (local dialect - Doric)
Sounds like you know your music. The Manhattans eh. Smooooth soul. Bit like Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes.Good stuff. If you haven't heard any of there stuff (maybe you have :-) the dells are GREAT. Pretty similar in there ballads. Worth checking out. Stay in my corner and Give your baby a Standing Ovation. Brilliant :-) What kind of music do you like yourself?

Just came in here for a sec have lots to get on with today. Hows it fit like then as u say?
Anyway yeah of course Ive heard of Harold Melvin and the Blue notes, dont know about the dells will look them up. I Like alsorts of music from classic soul to rock reggae, I grew up ina music family thats how i know all the really old songs and artists my parents are music ppl and when I was lil always had music playin. My brother plays bass guitar in his band he plays in clubs pubs around London. MY cousins also have there own bands. Music is my way of escapin from everthing always makes me feel good, helps me through good and bad times.
