I just wanted to let people know that there is a book titled "Toxic Parents" and I think for just about everyone this is a good book to read.
I just started reading it last night and I found the information to explain a lot for me.
Hope this is helpful to everyone.

Good. Please let me know if you do. Maybe we can all discuss it as a group and get each others insights on it. Just a thought. What do you all think? -

My hubby's a therapist and always bringing books home. he brought this one home, and I could not figure out why it sounded familiar! But I have now read it.
At the same time, he brought home one called "If You Had Controlling Parents". I found controlling parents to be more helpful in my case because that was my specific problem. "Toxic Parents" was like an overview...but I was not sexually abused and my parents weren't addicts, etc. Toxic Parents just had way too much info that did not pertain to me.
If you can narrow down your problem to having 1 or more parents who were over-controlling, then I highly recommend "If You Had Controlling Parents" by Dan Neuharth. For me, this book was amazing!!! -

I've read Toxic Parents by suggestion of Starbuck's husband :) I liked it A LOT.
I think I might buy that one she suggested too. I've also god a couple others. But they're great books -

@flowergirl I'm not sure if this book would help at all or not, but there's a book called
"I Hate You, Don't Leave Me" .
Other than that I don't know of any others.
