I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.

I lived in Alexandria VA at the Time of 9/11... I saw MY PENTAGON WEDGE FALL.. I CRIED WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT SEVEN of MY CO-WORKERS had DIED that DAY...
I APPRECIATE THE DEDICATION, HONOR, EFFORT AND PURPOSE OF EVERY MILITARY PERSON FIGHTING TO KEEP OUR UNITED STATES FREE AND SAFE..
THANK YOU
PS. Some people ridicule me for remembering 9.11 and what happened.. but I saw what we had to do in DC to prevent something else from happening..
I recall the night of the last fly over of jets that protecting the metro area.. I WANTED THEM TO CONTINUE.. I WANTED THEM BACK..
I recall the bomb sniffing dogs at the metro stations, checking trash cans, I know what it is like to have my backpack, jacket and brief case checked.. did I mind.. HELL NO.. I knew it was for a damn good reason.
God help the United States if another attack takes place.. there will be more killed or injured, but I know OUR Military and ALLIES are working around the clock to save the USA and every Nation who deserves and honors Freedom and Peace..

I love that. I'm half way through memorizing it for when I go in. =) It was the most powerful thing to see my Love recite it at his graduation. -

This made me want to cry. I helped my husband memorize this before he left and it makes me miss him more!
