Possible Migraine Trigger Points

You'll see that one of my "other" management techniques listed is myofascial therapy, which is a type of massage that works with the surface tissues so that inflammation and stiffness do not put increased pressure on the blood vessels and nerves.
While not specifically listed as working with the fascia, many occupational therapist recommend patients getting a Theracane, which is a nobbed sort of massage stick that helps you work with prescise areas of muscle tissue. The people who work with things like the Theracane believe in Trigger Point therapy.
To save some money, and so you can investigate this before hand, here is a link that shows sort of what you'll be looking for:

The black dots or x's show where the trigger point location is, while the red indicates where the pain can be referred to.

Thank you for putting this up here... I looked in on the round-earth links, and found information on muscle pain that relates to the pain I get and believe it to be fibromyalgia, I also found information on chest pain., I had been for an angiogram happily everything is normal and have a strong heart, but the cardiologist didnt offer any suggestions as to what the chest pain could have been, I think all other avenues should have been explored first.. Now I have information, I can talk to the doctor about carpel tunnel syndrome, which I also have, I would never have thought that a finger can cause chest pain and shoulder and neck pain leading to migraine.. Youre amazing celticfife, fI think a lot of people on the fibromyalgia group could learn from this too..
