This is the very reason why I love this site. I had no idea that Medigap exsisted until I read the discussion on Medigap. I went searching on the internet and this is the link I found; thought I would post for those of you like myself who doesn't know anything about this coverage.

A Medigap policy is health insurance sold by private insurance companies to fill the â??gapsâ?? in Original Medicare Plan coverage. Medigap policies help pay some of the health care costs that the Original Medicare Plan doesnâ??t cover. If you are in the Original Medicare Plan and have a Medigap policy, then Medicare and your Medigap policy will pay both their shares of covered health care costs.
For additional information on Medigap policies, including why you would want to buy a Medigap policy and information about what Medigap policies cover, please read our publication, Choosing a Medigap Policy: A Guide to Health Insurance for People with Medicare.

This is why I had started this group. Unfortunately Medigap is only available in some states for people under the age of 65. -

thanks for sharing...usually at the beginning of the year....medicare will send you a book for the new year...with what is covered and changes...in the back of the book...it has the different medigap plans ...you can get the plans for just meds or for meds and medical...
another word that is easier for medigap is a secondary insurance....glad you were able to find that info on the computer....so that is another source to look up at plans....the only bad thing...is you have to choose the plan at the beginning of the year and I dont think you can switch until the following year...hugs

This is a group to discuss the issues for those of us that are under age 65 and have Medicare. In my state of Fl. I can't get Medigap insurance. What are your issues?
