Mastocytosis: This is a rare "orphan disease" (orphan diseases affect 200,000 or fewer people in the United States). Since the disease is so rare and not well known about it often may be misdiagnosed, and may occur more frequently than assumed. Most doctors look inside the box, for things that are common. This disease requires them to look outside the box. My little one has this disease. Please help spread awareness, give support, and search for a cure!
