Loved Ones who support someone with MS Community Group
This group is meant for those who help someone with MS. This would include family, good friends, spouses and caregivers. It is a place to exchange good ideas that may help us in caring for those we love that have this disease.
* Headaches/Migraines
* Terminal Neuralgia - Short periods of sever unilateral pain or face pain
* L Hermitte's -Pain - Electrical shocks or buzzing sensations
* Burning sensation
* Spasms / Twitching (which can be painful)
* IBS symptoms
Then I would go to management with all your documentation and demand to see a doctor that realizes that MS can come in many forms including the above symptoms that involve pain: Is it standard policy to ignore these symptoms in those with MS and let them be in pain.
Sorry I am ranting but I would be ticked off.
Good luck to you,
EP
* EXERCISE in small amounts to increase number of mitochondria and therefore amount of ATP
* B vitamins (Some of these B vitamins are NAD, FAD which help Mitochondria function)
* L-Carnitine and Alpha Lipoic Acid
* Co Enzyme Q10
* Glutatate and Asparatate need to be in balance for mitochodria to work properly. So REDUCE glutamate (MSGs) as they are already high in those with MS (per research). When glutamate is too high and out of balance then it will affect mitochondria and reduced ATP production.

Muscle spasms can also be caused from low calcium, potassium, Vitamin D (needed for calcium absorption) or magnesium (ie in walnuts). So if you have pain in your muscles this maybe a contributing factor. If you feel this pertains to you then talk to a doc about it.
See details below and talk to a doc if you think it might help.

Lipoxins Reduce Chronic Pain
Carrageenan(a type of lipoxin) was used in the study. It reduced inflammation and reduced pain.
Carrageenan, by the way, is a seaweed extract.

"some compounds, such as LIPOXINS, appear to be predominantly endogenous ANTI-inflammatory protective molecules"
THANK YOU for posting. Have you tried reducing sugar? I was just wondering.
I want you to find something that WORKS.
