Gay Marriage

Is anyone on here engaged or married? It is exciting to know gay marriage is starting to become legal in the United States. I live in CT and am really excited it's legal. I recently got engaged and will be married in 2011.
It is just sooo exciting. I never imagined when I was little to have a gay marriage or even get married for that matter. Now that I've been out to friends and family for almost 7 years, and I am engaged...it's like a dream come true. I am sooo excited and just wanted to share my excitement and joy! Yay for being gay! :)

If there is anyone on here that is married, did some family members refuse to go or did you just not bother inviting them because you knew their view on gays and marriage? We are having a small intimate wedding of maybe 60 people so we have to be selective on who we invite. But I most certiainly will not save a seat for someone who would not be happy for us and want to share in our love for one another.

  im only 17 but my girl and i have been engaged for 8 months. we live in oklahoma where it'll never freakin be legal. but we plan on being together forever no matter the costs. =]

  I am engaged to my partner. We live in WA state where hopefully tonight Referendum 71 will pass and when we choose to we can get married. In the meantime we live close to Canada and my brother lives in Mass. so if it comes to it we can go to one of those places. Congrats on your engagement and wedding!

  I'm hoping to propose to my partner soon, not sure how but I live in MN where we're hoping that they will legalize it soon here. But we lived close to Iowa so we could always go there.

  Prop 71 passed in WA which is great news and makes me hopeful for the rest of the country. Anything romantic is good in my opinion. I had been out of town for 2 weeks for work and the night I got back we were laying in bed and I told her I had brought a present back for her. I had her close her eyes and when she opened them I proposed. It wasn't anything super fancy but it worked. I am sure that you will do what feels right to you.

I wanted a group were lesbian women can get together and chat and just have some fun. No men allowed please!!!!! So come on in and sit down and enjoy yourself.
