Is LDN FDA approved?

Is LDN a compound drug or is it FDA approved? Just curious to see if insurance covers it and if not, what does it cost? I take Tysabri and wonder if my neuro would let me try both at the same time. There are so many unanswered questions and I feel docs are afraid to try something new. How can I convince my doc to let me try if she says no?

LDN is compounded and has been FDA approved for many years just not for MS. It's cheap. it cost about $30.00 a month. i don't think you can take them both. Tysabri is such a dangerous medication. I go to Shands MS clinic in Jacksonville and they give me the prescription and I snd it to Skips pharmacy in Bocca Raton and it gets mailed to me. He (Skip) is an expert on LDN. You could call and speak with him. -

you'd have to ask your insurance co. I pay less than $22 for each month, I once asked them what to do with my script and they said to send it to them, but they don't compound. So I didn't bother. Who knows what they'd have sent.
Naltrexone was FDA approved for safety & efficacy in the 1980s.
Dr. Bihari has patents on it too -

It is okay to take Tysabri and LDN. My good friend is taking both and it is working very well. I get my LDN from a pharmacy in Salt Lake City and it is only $60 for a 3 month supply. Plus $8 for shipping. My neuro was happy to give it to me. It is showing great results for a lot of people. Good luck!!
