Some of the docs who specialize in medical marijuana will prescribe it the same way, even over the phone sometimes.
Dr Bahiris office will also do a phone consultation but it might cost you up to $500. Cheaper to track down a medical marijuana provider who is open to alternative medicine.

Asking for a prescription

Today is the day. I plan on asking a doctor for LDN. The difference in cost will be amazing. Anybody who reads this: think good thoughts and maybe pray that I will find the courage to ask. I have of heard of docs firing patients who dare to request. I will report when I get home.

Cost is part of the reason I approached the doc. So far, no script but an open mind. I told her of LarryLDN's allergy tests improving so much and she became interested. I guess journalling and testing are the way to go. I can the same stuff from Canada for over $140 or I could get it from Medicare for $4. Doc says I have to stabilize first. So not a bad answer. Just not the "sure I will here's the prescription" response I had hoped for. -

stabilize FIRST? LDN is what stabilized me. nothing else. -

That is still pretty generous for a standard GP. LDN often makes people worse before they get better. -

Yes, I didn't make it clear that the doc involved was not a neuro. I got a much worse from the neuro. LDN has barely hit the sticks here. I am starting a couple of new drugs and will revisit the LDN prescription in a month or two. Meanwhile, I am at 3 mg and not feeling too bad. The extra stiffness seems to have passed and I am having the interesting dreams. So I know it is working its way into my body. Sleeping much better too. -

I don't think LDN will "make" people "worse", per se, but it starts working immediately and the body goes through old wounds to try to fix them. People panic and try to help fixing old issue and then just get worse from the trying to help.
YMMV of course, people have their own biological medical history so you just don't know what to expect -

I am lucky, I guess. I work for a group of MDs, and one has already volunteered to write me scrip if my own PCP won't. I am excited to try this tx....but have to wait for my Remicade to wear off...about 6 weeks from now, I guess.
