LDN + Avonex

I hear some people are doing it, despite speculation that they contradict. Is there any hard info on what this combination will do? Any personal experiences or anecdotal reports?

I don't know anyone off hand who was doing both. -

Hi everyone. At the risk of "highjacking" this thread, I took LDN with Betaseron for years and did really well. Just recently, my neuro wants me to try Tysabri. My recent MRI showed no active lesions. Arguably, that could be due more to the LDN than the Betaseron? We'll never really know, I guess. :-/
Nevertheless, I feel my MS has steadily progressed downward over the last few years, notwithstanding the fairly clean MRI. That is why we are considering trying Tyssabri. But after discovering this board, I may want to reconsider. Maybe just taking the LDN and dropping the Beta is the better path? I just stopped the Beta for the pre-Ty washout period.
I initially had stopped the Beta for the LDN, exclusively. My neuro, however, convinced me that I could take both, and that the Beta is the safer bet to effectively treat my MS. I wonder whether they (doctors) even really know!?!?! -

They dont really know. They dont even know how the disease works yet. What they have are theories and statistics based on very limited large scale trials. Thats something, but for questions like whether LDN or Beta is doing more for your condition, I doubt they have any clue. -

Sentient, BobbyJ is doing both and will have an MRI this week to find out how he is doing. You could ask him. -

I did. He says he is doing good with no progression. I will be sure to ask him after his MRI.
His testimony is actually what gave me the idea. -

yeah, I'd sooner give up Beta and not do Tysabri, than to Switch.
LDN alone works wonders, it's when people think they know better and try to do the Driving that they get in trouble. LDN seems to like clean slates and no Other drugs. -

I like LDN, too. But realistically, aren't we all just going on blind faith and hope vis-a-vis trusting LDN's efficacy? I mean, as far as I know, there are no double blind, placebo controlled trials for LDN. It just has a lot of anecdotal evidence that it is working wonders!?!?
Both Beta and Ty have rather extensive double blind, placebo controlled studies. And their respective efficacy is around 33% and 67%. I don't think that's something I can just ignore. -

Realistically, I am Living LDN. My Dad is Living LDN. My Bro is Living LDN. My friend Bren is Living LDN, and her mom had breast cancer and only LDN, and is living; and HER mom, Bren's grandmother is living with Alzheimers and breast cancer, both have stabilized.
My podiatrist witnessed my Living LDN and is so amazed how a killer staph reacted in 10/04, and how another opportunistic infection reacted with just cream so quickly when I was exposed back in May.
I have 6 years of MRIs, the last 4 while on LDN no progression.
Are you a researcher? Do you KNOW what words you're using, or just the jargon? All the CRABs showed 30%, anything under 33% is questionable.
TY have had double blind, sure, and how many DEATHS and rebounding horrors?
the grass roots people Living LDN are proof,
AS WELL as the patients on the CRABs & Tysabri. That's why I decided never to do any CRABS (or CARBs? I'm on a No CARB diet), the horrors that people live with are worse than the disease.
blind faith and hope?
Chemical Reactions and 6+ years personal experience is no longer blind, faith, or hope. It's LIVING
