Hi, I'm on the fampridine study (4-AP) I've been on it for 3 yrs. at 10mg, twice a day. It helps big time with fatigue and has also helped with walking a little. It is supose to be available next year, but you can get it now as a compound, from a compounder pharmacy. I have a few friends who are on it now and they love it like I do. Ask your neuro for a script. -

I have been on 4 Aminopyridine for over 4 yrs. I get it compounded at Skip's pharmacy same place I get the LDN. I couldn't function without it. It helps me with walking alot. I take it twice a day. I have been paitiently waiting on Frampridine SR. I think it will be better because it is time released. I get my prescription from Shands MS clinic in Jacksonville. -

I have been on 4-AP for about 2 yrs. Personally, I really don't know if it helps my walk but I do know when I miss a few doses. It is like I am going through withdrawal. I take 10mg 2 times a day. They adjust your dosage according to your weight. It is a compound drug which means it is not FDA approved so be sure you got to a reliable pharmacy, your doc should refer you to one that he/she is comfortable with.
