A Laughter Club Community Group
We would like to invite you to join our group! A Laughter Club is for people who understand just how serious a matter humor is to one's survival and even to one's success in life. We share jokes, riddles, short stories, and other laughter-provoking thoughts. We have one simple rule: If you wouldn't say it to a child because it contains inappropriate...
I see trees of green, red roses, too,
I see them bloom for me and you,
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white,
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night,
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of the people goin' by.
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin', "How do you do?"
They're really sayin', "I love you."
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow.
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world.

-Recored by Louis Armstrong and others

Have you seen the well-to-do
Up and down Park Avenue,
On that famous thoroughfare
With their noses in the air.
High hats and Arrow collars,
White spats and lots of dollars,
Spending ev'ry dime
For a wonderful time.
If you're blue and don't know where to go to,
Why don't you go where fashion sits,
Puttin' on the Ritz.
Different types who wear a day coat,
Pants with stripes and cut-away coat, perfect fits,
Puttin' on the Ritz.
Strolling up the avenue so happy.
All dressed up just like the English chappie,
Very snappy.
Come let's mix where Rockefellers walk
With sticks or 'um-ber-el-las' in their mitts,
Puttin' on the Ritz.
-Words and Music by Irving Berlin
-From the Motion Picture 'Puttin' On the Ritz'
May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam.
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when you're far from home.
And may you grow to be proud,
Dignified and true.
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you.
Be courageous and be brave.
And in my heart you'll always stay
Refrain:
Forever young,
Forever young.
May good fortune be with you,
May your guiding light be strong,
Build a stairway to heaven
With a prince or a vagabond.
And may you never love in vain.
An in my heart you will remain
Repeat Refrain
Forever young.
Forever young.
And when you finally fly away,
I'll be hoping that I served you well.
For all the wisdom of a lifetime,
No one can ever tell.
But whatever road you choose,
I'll be right behind you win or lose.
Repeat Refrain
Forever young.
Forever young.
-Words and Music by Rod Stewart, Jim Cregan, Kevin Savigar, and Bob Dylan
-Recored by Rod Stewart
Puff, the magic dragon, lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee.
Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff,
And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff.
Refrain:
Oh! Puff, the magic dragon, lived by the sea,
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee.
Puff, the magic dragon, lived by the sea,
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee.
Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail;
Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff's gigantic tail.
Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er they came,
Pirate ships would lower their flag when Puff roared out his name.
Repeat Refrain
A dragon lives forever, but not so little boys,
Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys.
One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more,
And Puff, that magic dragon, he ceased his fearless roar.
Repeat Refrain
His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain;
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane.
Without his life-long friend, Puff could not be brave,
So Puff, that mighty dragon, sadly slipped into his cave.
Repeat Refrain

Heaven, I'm in heaven.
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak.
And I seem to find the happiness I seek.
When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek.
Heaven, I'm in heaven.
and the cares that hung around me through the week
Seem to vanish like a gambler's lucky streak
When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek.
Oh, I love to climb a mountain,
And to reach the highest peak,
But it doesn't thrill me half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek.
Oh, I love to go out fishing
In a river or a creek
But I don't enjoy it half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek.
Dance with me.
I want my arm about you
The charm about you
Will carry me thru to
Heaven, I'm in heaven.
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak.
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When we're out together
Dancing cheek to cheek.

and the day goes down on water town, when the sun sinks low all around, thats when I know I need you now, your what I miss every little kiss, thats what I miss ,yeah, your what I need.............................
I don't need a bed of roses
'cause roses just wither away
All I really need is honesty
And someone with a strong heart and gentle hands
To take me as I am...
First when there's nothing
but a slow glowing dream
that your fear seems to hide
deep inside your mind.
All alone I have cried
silent tears full of pride
in a world made of steel,
made of stone.
Well, I hear the music,
close my eyes, feel the rhythm,
wrap around, take a hold
of my heart.
What a feeling.
Bein's believin'.
I can have it all, now I'm dancing for my life.
Take your passion
and make it happen.
Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life.
Now I hear the music,
close my eyes, I am rhythm.
In a flash it takes hold
of my heart.
What a feeling.
Bein's believin'.
I can have it all, now I'm dancing for my life.
Take your passion
and make it happen.
Pictures come alive, now I'm dancing through my life.
What a feeling.
What a feeling I AM MUSIC NOW
Bein's believin'. I AM RHYTHM NOW
Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life.
What a feeling. YOU CAN REALLY HAVE IT ALL
What a feeling. PICTURES COME ALIVE WHEN I CALL
I can have it all I CAN REALLY HAVE IT ALL
Have it all PICTURES COME ALIVE WHEN I CALL
CALL CALL CALL CALL WHAT A FEELING
I can have it all BEIN'S BELIEVIN
Bein's believin' TAKE YOUR PASSION
MAKE IT HAPPEN
make it happen WHAT A FEELING
what a feeling BEIN'S BELIEVIN'
Hey Mister
Where you going in such a hurry
Don't you think it's time you realized
There's a whole lot more to life than work and worry
The sweetest things in life are free
And there right before your eyes
You got to Stop and Smell the roses
You've got to count your many blessings everyday
You're gonna find your way to heaven is a rough and rocky road
If you don't Stop and Smell the roses along the way
Before you went to work this morning in the city
Did you spent some time with your family
Did you kiss your wife and tell her that she's pretty
Did you take your children to your breast and love them tenderly
You got to Stop and Smell the roses
You've got to count your many blessings everyday
You're gonna find your way to heaven is a rough and rocky road
If you don't Stop and Smell the roses along the way
Well, when I was a kid I'd take a trip
every summer down the Mississip
To visit my granny in her antebellum world
I'd run barefooted all day long
climbin' trees free as a song
And one day I happened to catch myself a squirrel
Well, I stuffed him down in an old shoe box,
punched a couple of holes in the top
And when Sunday came I snuck him into Church
I was sittin' way back in the very last pew
showin' him to my good buddy Hugh
When that squirrel got loose and went totally berserk
Well, what happened next is hard to tell
Some thought it was heaven others thought it was hell
But the fact that something was among us was plain to see
As the choir sang "I Surrender All"
the squirrel ran up Harv Newlan's coveralls
Harv leaped to his feet and said, "Somethin's got a hold on me", Yeow!
Chorus:
The day the squirrel went berserk
In the First Self-Righteous Church
In the sleepy little town of Pascagoula
It was a fight for survival that broke out in revival
They were jumpin' pews and shoutin' Hallelujah!
Well, Harv hit the aisles dancin' and screamin'
Some thought he had religion others thought he had a demon
And Harv thought he had a weed eater loose in his Fruit-Of-The-Looms
He fell to his knees to plead and beg
and the squirrel ran out of his britches leg
Unobserved, to the other side of the room
All the way down to the amen pew
where sat Sister Bertha better-than-you
Who'd been watchin' all the commotion with sadistic glee
But you should've seen the look in her eyes
When that squirrel jumped her garters and crossed her thighs
She jumped to her feet and said "Lord have mercy on me"
As the squirrel made laps inside her dress
She began to cry and then to confess
to sins that would make a sailor blush with shame
She told of gossip and church dissension
but the thing that got the most attention
Was when she talked about her love life
and then she started naming names
Chorus:
The day the squirrel went berserk
In the First Self-Righteous Church
In that sleepy little town of Pascagoula
It was a fight for survival that broke out in revival
They were jumpin' pews and shoutin' Hallelujah!
Well seven deacons and the pastor got saved,
Twenty-five thousand dollars was raised
and fifty volunteered For missions in the Congo on the spot
Even without an invitation
there were at least five hundred rededications
And we all got re-baptized whether we needed it or not
Now you've heard the Bible story I guess
How He parted the waters for Moses to pass
Oh the miracles God has wrought in this old world
But the one I'll remember 'til my dyin' day
Is how he put that Church back on the narrow way
With a half crazed Mississippi squirrel
Chorus:
The day the squirrel went berserk
In the First Self-Righteous Church
In the sleepy little town of Pascagoula
It was a fight for survival that broke out in revival
They was jumpin' pews and shoutin' Hallelujah!

Oompa loompa doompadee doo
I’ve got a perfect puzzle for you
Oompa loompa, doompadah dee
If you are wise you’ll listen to me
What do you get when you guzzle down sweets
Eating as much as an elephant eats?
What are you at getting terribly fat
What do you think will come of that?
I don’t like the look of it
Oompa loompa doompadee dah
If you’re not greedy you will go far
You will live in happiness too
Like the oompa loompa doopadee do
Doompadee doo!
