Cyst delaying treatment

Hey Ladies,
So I went in for my baseline ultrasound today and the expectation to begin my stims tonight. As it turned out, they found a cyst on my ovary and based on bloodwork, determined that it was producing estrogen. They decided to keep me just on Lupron and to come back next week to see if the cyst has "calmed down." If it doesn't, they may pull the plug on this cycle all together.
Have any of you experienced this? And if so, how did it turn out?
I'm disappointed by the delay, but know that much like the bigger picture in life, things are often unpredictable and out of our control. All I can do is accept it with grace and trust that things just have a way of working out.

I hope things work out for you and that you don't have to wait too long. I know how frustrating it can be. Take care of yourself. -

Hi..... I have ben plagued by cysts. Whenever I get them, they put me on BCP and i have to sit out that cycle. They never let me continue. Hopefully, when you go back next week you can continue. Good luck! -

I had a cyst after my first IUI cycle. I had to sit that month out, which is extremely frustrating. However, if they give you stims it could make it get bigger. There is a good posibility that it shrunk in a week. I really hope you have good news at your next appointment. -

Thank you ladies so much for your words of support and for sharing your own experiences. I am now attempting the tricky balance between hoping for the absolute best and preparing myself for a delay in treatment so that I won't be completely frustrated if it happens. So here's to hoping for the best, being prepared for the worst and keeping a smile on your face regardless of the outcome! :-)
