Hi sungyshine! I get my meds by Fed Ex tomorrow and will start with Follistim on 4/23 if all goes according to plan. It's great to have a buddy, I don't think many people check the discussions in this group.

    Hi!!

Third day of Leuprolide; so far shots are NOT painless at all and barely side effects. I noticed this morning though when my boss made a comment (really stupid) that I got close to tears and it bothered me for a while. That is certainly not the type of person I am, so I figured that it had to be the Lupron.

How are you all doing? How are you feeling? are you guys doing accupunture along with your IVF? I am going once a week; I know it's a tad excessive (and expensive) but I am making the sacrifice hoping that it will have a good effect on the IVF cycle. I am also doing prenatal yoga (with a bunch of pregnant women) which also makes me feel really good. (Maybe its just that I am easy!! he he).

Drop around, let's discuss symptons, remedies, etc.

    Baby dust to all!

    Welcome kristydu!

ae: I always feel more emotional while on IF meds. Sometimes I wonder if I'm cracking up with the uncharacteristic thoughts I have while on the meds. I tried accupuncture a while ago, but I don't think it's for me. From talking to other people who like it I think it may have been the practitioner that I didn't like, but I haven't tried it again. Sounds like you find it beneficial so I hope it works for you. Good for you doing yoga, I may start with yoga again instead of my regular workouts when I start stims (hopefully) next week. I'll definitely go for walks too.

    Good luck everybody!

    Jen:

It's weird; there are two practicioners in my Accupunturist office; the main one is also a Naturopathic Doctor; she was nice, but she also went off the wild tangent - "dont drink milk, coffee, citrus, dairy, sweets, beef, etc. etc." frankly, I think it's awesome that they guide you to eat healthy, but we are going through so much already that it turned me off when the next time I saw her and said that I was still having my cup of coffee in the morning and she gave me a disapproving look.

The other practicioner does only accupunture and when you hear her talk you'd think she's the biggest airhead that ever existed; but when I saw her again and noticed that she had paid attention to the little details, that I was absolutely sold to her.

She is funny, and absolutely transparent... which to me translates in good energy (vibes); and I figure that for this journey, we can use as much of that as possible.

Same story with my yoga instructor and the ladies in my class (which are ALL pregnant - after all, it is a prenatal class); but since I was open to her and told her what I was going through; she has not been anything but nice and supportive.

Maybe I am easy to please, but those are the things that make my journey easier; so I tend to surround myself with positive things.

So try doing that, it does not have to be accupunture or yoga; just something that fills you up with that goodness feeling, it will make you have a positive outlook on things... like wearing rose colored glasses! :)

    Good luck to all!

I start my lupron tomorrow (4/19) ER should be week of May 10th - I'm doing a donor egg cycle though, so I won't be taking any stims, I'm on BCP's now.

    Yvonne:

The first day I took lupron I woke up in sweats! it was only for a few hours in the morning; after that the only side effect that I have noticed is that I am a bit more sensible/emotional. Things that would not normally bother me, make me want to start bawling...:)... which really isnt too bad considering that I could be getting migraines or be nauseous.

    Good luck with your cycle!!

Welcome
