Anxiety/Panic/ANY Nervous Illness is a Demon in itself but, when we add Inner Self Talk especially Negative then it really becomes a worse Demon... So here is where we can talk and help each other by offering things ( thoughts ) that may help us conquer this Fear made stronger by.. Inner Self Talk..

INNER SELF TALK and THE THOUGHTS WE THINK

Have you ever been just thinking of nothing in particulair and all of a sudden you remember how bad Nervous Illness makes you feel? Your working outside, doing something that you want to do, maybe something that you enjoy doing? Maybe you love the rain and it is a rainy day so you curl up with a crossword puzzle, word search, or even be on the computer and then it happens. That old bogey memory happens. It is then that you start to have that Inner Self Talk. Usually  people with ANY Nervous Illness will then start thinking ( because we do this by Habit ) how bad Anxiety, Panic or any Nervousness makes them feel. We have actually Programmed our minds to turn inward to that Negative Self Talk. Yes, I said WE have programmed our own minds to think about the " Oh I feel so bad right now, I wish these symptoms would go away ". It is at that very moment that they surely will NOT go because we are giving them a place, as we always do. Close your eyes and have someone ask you to think of a plate of small Red Apples,  Now I ask you to keep your eyes closed and think of something else. What do you see? My guess is a plate of Red Apples because that is what your mind tells you to do....YOU HAVE CONDITIONED IT TO THINK OF THOSE APPLES! The people who suffer Nervous Illness do CONDITION their minds daily, minutely, secondly with " What If's " and " Oh No's "....Now we need to find that elusive key to Uncondition our minds. That is what this Group is all about...Inner Self Talk ( usually Negative ) and how we can change it to more Positive Conditioning...I didn't say it will be easy. I know it won't for me but, with your help, with our helping each other, maybe, just maybe, we will see how we help keep our Fears alive....So, with that said, here we go..Let's start with those Baby Steps to a more Positive Inner Self Dialog. We are the Bravest people I know to endure our own minds daily. Let's see if we can make our mind, our friend and not the thing that brings " this thing " ( Anxiety etc: ) into our daily lives.
