Here's your (not so) totally useless fact of the day:

The names of some cities in the United States are the names of other U.S. states.
These include Nevada in Missouri, California in Maryland, Louisiana in Missouri,
Oregon in Wisconsin, Kansas in Oklahoma, Wyoming in Ohio, Michigan in North
Dakota, Delaware in Arkansas, and Indiana in Pennsylvania.

Maybe their brains were too tired to think of new names for cities, or they liked their home state so much they decided to memorialize it by naming a city of the same name, who knows?

  Here's one to boggle your mind- There is a town called North,South Carolina. It's not far from Denmark (SC)!
  
  Can you imagine a traveler stopping for directions? - "Oh,you just went through Denmark and you're in North,South Carolina now."

  You all are funny! I can't imagine living in North, South Carolina. People might think you've lost your marbles when you give them your address. Yes I've been to Paris, CA too.
