In our age of rampaging medieval conservatism, both homegrown and Middle Eastern, adult conversation has fallen by the wayside.
Oh, I'm not talking just sex, I'm also talking about intelligent, thoughtful, mature discourse; although if we must first talk about sex, lets take it beyond mere backseat blowjobs and our infatuation with callow youth and styleless, mass produced porn. If we're going to talk sex, lets also talk about sensuality and foreplay and toys, and wine, and body chocolate, and scintillating post-coital conversation!
Mark Morford, a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, writes like an adult. His columns dip into politics, religion, Hitachi Magic Wands, current events, technology, and other adult topics, often all within a few paragraphs.
How refreshing! Seriously, my God, our society has become so dumbed down, so puritan, so infantile, so dense, so filled with fear and hate that it is amazing to read something that is actually as mature and honest and funny and as subversive as a Morford column.
He captures the spirit of Hunter Thompson (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) and Joseph Heller (Catch 22, read it and be amazed), but in his own way. My God, our times are so self-righteous and violent and childish and just plain stupid. Morford, at his best, is an antidote for our times.

Mark Morford is one of my favorite parts of my daily paper which is....The SF Chronicle. He doesn't get column space everyday, but I do read him online. I'm glad to find another fan. -
