eva's goals

This is my attempt at answering ingrid's questions. I think it's good. Writing it all down keeps us accountable to ourselves and each other.

60 day Long Term goal:

That would put me somewhere around mid september, about 8 weeks.

I would like to think that I would have my routine down by then.

By mid-September I want to be ready to do a 5K.

This means that I would have finsished my training to get up to that point.

Maybe on a future check-in I will have chosen a race that I want to run.

Strengths:
I am motivated. It is fun. I just did one in may and really had a good time. Nomi likes to run with me, she can keep me inspired as I run after her in her bike.

Challenges:
It's so easy to compromise the the time I have set aside for me when other things come up. I have to prioritize this exercise time above other things I have set aside that I enjoy including chilling or or just reading a good book.

WEEKLY GOAL for 7/14

I want to start the actual training for a 5K
3 days a week

i like your goals, too... a 5k a half marathon and then a full one have always been my dreams ... how do you plan to train for the 5k?

It is my dream to do a marathon one day as well.

Maybe we can one day train for one together. That would be a big dream of mine come true. I first need to loose some weight b/c the weight is hard on my back when i run too much.
When I was in grad school I started training for a marathon and went up to about 10 miles. I had to stop because you have to fit in at least 1 long run a week up to the distance (about 26 miles right) and I just did not have the time.

Anyways, I got a training schedule off a running website. It is the couch potatoe to 5k in 8 weeks.

I am on week 1 and I like it b/c it is really basic. You run 3x a week this week and interchange jogging and walking.
This week it is 60 min of jogging for 90 minutes of walking.

You all know they have marathons all over, we can choose one in a place we have always wanted to go to and make that one of our really long term gogoals.

Well I am happy to report I met the goals I set for this week.

I went running 3x (really walk/jog) and did yoga 1x this week. I completed the first week of the 5K Training schedule so i am especially happy about that.

For this upcoming week, I want to continue training on week 2 and try to do yoga/strength training 2 x this week.

When I get my exercise in I stay motivated to eat well and it does wonders for my mental health.

Here's to another great week Ladies.

Welcome
