I'm new

Hello there! I am new to this board. I have a son that has autism. He was tested by the school back in Aug. of 2008 and they said that he had autism. We got a medical diagnosis in May 2009. My son is 3 years old, and went from not talking at all, to talking in one word sentences and then went to two and now working on 3 words now.. He is learning to be independent everyday. We are very proud of him. I have him in OT, Skills, and he is going to be going into speech. He has started summer Preschool and he is getting Speech and OT there as well. So, he is getting better all of the time. :)

Though the one thing that I cannot stand about Autism is the fits that he throws. They get pretty intense and some days I wonder if I am going to make it through.

I am hoping to find some insight here to learn more about autism then I already know, and also to get support and to offer support...

Nice to meet you,

Neeters :)
