Paths

A cat on a hill
Black
yellow eyes that pierce
a trail, two paths
I stop at the fork
you arch your back
black
a moon that is only a sliver
a step to the right, no the left
its a small path, worn and caped with the limbs of trees
only limbs, no seeds
I slink
I ponder the way
The gate to the right is narrow
But wide and broad is the way to the left
The cat does hiss
And I look at the fork and bow my head
I know the way I need to go
I must follow him
black heart covered in red
sin dead
new roads
I arch my back and take one giant leap

good imagery. I like the extended metaphor of cat. You have no many symbols I don't even understand. What do the moon and the seeds mean?

Its really dark, sin that is and a moon that is not full is only a sliver of light...the seeds and trees I relate with Psalms 1:4, only I show the opposite ...Just thinking about what sin does to us and what light does to us and how the roads are different and we all have free will. just bored and wondering if anyone was out here and it looks like its just us kid! LOL

captures the stuggle of the human soul to find and choose the right road.
