why is it every time I vacuum- mow the lawn- use the weed eater I always hear someone calling my name...So irritating

  It sounds like the loudness causes a vibration in your ears mimicking the syllable of your name.Otherwise, you would hear it at other times. Most interesting. Have you experienced any other unusual things going on?

  no. I learn not to respond to it stopping and looking who there ..only problem when some one is calling my name for real I don't respond they tap me on the shoulder hate that .

  Is calling your name all you hear? and does it happen every time your doing these things or is it kind of hit and miss?
  I hear all sorts of stuff that isn't here, at least it isn't here in this dimention, in this version of reality that I'm most aware of but I think all sorts of things can cause bleed throughs from other times and places. Some times it is funny and others it is annoying like when I hear a car pull up, engine shut off, doors open and I go down to see who is here and there is no one there...sometimes I or my husband and I are the only ones who hear these things and other times all our dogs also make a made dash for the door and there is no one there.
  The things I've heard range from music playing where I know there is no one, voices talking, cars stopping, people calling my name and even knocks on the door clear up to what sounded like a damn chopper setting down next to our house. We just figure there's a thin spot in the veil seperating eveyrthing when this happens.

  we have 3 1/2 real cats ..as for the other two ---one hangs around at the bottom of the stairs-- at the corner of your eye you notice what appears to be a cat--the other one who likes to rub your legs and when you look down to see which one it is there nothing there....good news is you don't have to feed them or clean an extra litter box.....Hubby wasn't to thrilled about others talking about these experiences.-until one day he was sitting at the table felt a cat at his leg thinking it was his cat mow bent down to pat her ..surprise..Son talks about the things being in another dimension specially with animals

  I hear conversations occasionally, like when I'm walking through the front door of our house.
  I'm used to it now. It stops when I get the door open.
  I used to think we might have left the television on, but as soon as I open the door, all is quiet.
  Sometimes when I have been very sick, I have heard someone calling my name.
  I can't explain it. I just live with it.
