How long does it take for your body image to change?

I know I have lost alot of weight (139lbs) but I still see myself as very heavy - How long does it take for that image to change??????

I feel the same way! I have lost 145 and still am big to me too....well I am still big! I would like to know if we ever will feel thin?? Vey good question! -

So, funny, I am almost 2 years out and I was just commenting on that. So much of how I see myself after loosing more than I weigh, about 180 pounds now, depends on how I am feeling. Some days I think I look great and other days I feel so fat...especially with all the loose skin. SO, I just keep reminding myself how far I have come and everybody I meet has no idea I ever weighed 350 pounds. Eventually it all comes together and who knows, maybe a little therapy would be useful...LOL! -

Thanks for the imput - I do think leslie is on to something about how you feel on any given day coz that does seem to make a difference and of course therapy is always an option :0).
