I went to a woman's weekend for my church this weekend...what an experience! So many people hadn't seen me in so long that they were shocked to see how I am looking these days! What an experience! I look in the mirror and don't see much of a change....weird how that is ey!? It does feel great to fit into clothes I haven't worn in a very long time....What a cool benefit! Smile!

That's wonderful Karla...... how exciting and encouraging. We see ourselves everyday, and I think it's harder to see the differences when we're with ourselves all the time. You must be even more determined now to keep on keeping on!! -

Life is strange. Everyone we see daily will often not take a big notice in us because they see us daily. It is the moments in life that makes us wonder how did I get there (before GBS) and I did I get here(lighter and healthier). Enjoy all those wow moments. Just wait for the burning questions that will be on some peoples mind about how you did it? I chuckle at those moments. Congrats on a great feelling and experience. -

Thanks Sharman and btw...you look awesome girl!!! I love the questions because it is an opportunity for me to teach someone else that has no clue about gbs surgery! I got so many great remarks from a lot of people this last week at our Holy Day in PHX, AZ. I haven't seen a lot of these people for a while and they were shocked...ha ha I think it is funny because they are in for a shock when they see me again ha ha! Thanks for the encouragement! smile!:) -

I feel the differences but can't see them. Every time I go down a size, I am amazed. Most of my family knows, and makes sure to tell me how great I look. This is one crazy journey!

You are absolutely right Teri! I have a hard time seeing my weightloss...probably because I am still so fat! hahaha.....My Hubby says I am skinny...hah haaaa I don't call 305 lbs. skinny any way you look at it, but I guess he is trying to be helpful and genuiely sees the 130lbs. I have lost so far! Isn't that funny?! Well...all I know is I have lost one whole person so far and only have one more to go...hee hee...Take Care!

Karla that is incredible and to your husband you are skinny, use to bother me when my husband said that to me when i still felt and knew i was overweight but to them there is a whole lot less to hug and they really notice and maybe even miss it.... one never knows. Keep up the good work and enjoy all the positive attention, you deserve it. -

That's wonderful. I can't wait to start fitting back into old clothes. Heck I won't have to do much shopping. I have clothes in about every size possible. Karen -

HI Karla, they say it takes about 3 years before you mental image catches up with your actual image after major weightloss. Sometimes I catch my self in a mirror or window pane, and I was not expecting to see myself...wow, what a shock. I still don't always believe it. But I have pictures to prove the transformation. After almost 2 years, I am still amazed. Congrats! -
